Get Healthy Skin With Effective Tips

Get Healthy Skin With Effective Tips

Maintain healthy skin and look young. Alternatively, allow it to suffer the ravages of age and environment to look older than you are. What would you choose? Most want to maintain healthy skin and look young but aren’t sure how to do it so they end up letting their skin go and looking older than they really are. Healthy skin care for skin problems is part of overall good health. Proper skincare treatments are essential in preventing skin damage and premature skin aging.

The two most damaging things you can do to your skin are getting direct sunlight on it and breathing tobacco smoke. The ultra-violet radiation of direct sunlight destroys and scars skin cells. It makes them lose their elasticity. Wear a sunscreen! Smoking causes vasoconstriction, which means you starve your skin of nutrient-bearing blood. So, your first step is to stay out of the sun and stay away from smoke. It doesn’t matter if the cigarette belongs to someone else you are breathing the same smoke they are. Steer clear or look like leather.

Most people don’t realize that getting good skin doesn’t require expensive treatment or cosmetics. The tools to develop healthy skin are all in the kitchen. Balanced diet, exercise and a stress free life are the three basic requisites. The skin must be allowed to breathe, so cleaning the skin is a must, to remove dead skin cells, and to open up the pores. In the article below are tips to help you get healthy skin.

Causes of Unhealthy Skin:

Faulty Diet. Refined foods like white flour, sugar and products made with them, tea, coffee, and soft drinks deplete energy, bring about wrinkles, unattractive skin and premature aging.

Lack of Healthy Blood. Healthy blood adds a glow to the skin and keeps it well-nourished, moist, and free from dryness and roughness.

Inadequate Cleansing. Very often, our skin looks superficially clean; but they really are not. Dirt and dust particles can hide in the pores of the skin and clog sweat and sebaceous glands. Proper cleansing not only removes all the dust, dirt and make-up, which accumulate during the day, but also stops the oil-secreting sebaceous glands from getting clogged.

How To Get Healthy Skin:

Avoid Exposure To Too Much Direct Sunlight: If you do not want your skin to sag, discolor or wrinkle, protect your skin from exposure to Ultra Violet rays, as they are quite harmful. On an average, exposure to sunlight for about 15 minutes a day is sufficient to get all the Vitamin D that the body needs. Wear sunscreen (SPF 15 or more). Apply it at least 30 minutes before going out. Reapply as often as is necessary, around every 2 hours.

Get a Facial: Facials unclog pores, nourish the skin, clear the skin of its impurities and help to fight the pollution in the environment. To keep your skin healthy, get a facial at regular intervals, particularly just when seasons begin to change.

Drink Lots of Water: Drinking lots of water helps prevent dehydration of the skin and promotes its elasticity. Besides, it is useful for the overall health of the body in many ways. Flushing out the waste products from the body becomes easier with the intake of more water. In addition, nutrients and vitamins are more easily absorbed.

Diet: Eating right is the secret for good skin. Almost all skin disorders result from a bad digestive system. Maintaining a proper balanced diet is the key to good digestion. Your diet should contain all the essential vitamins, proteins, and must be low in fats. Supplement your diet with lots of pulses, green vegetables, and salads.

Intake of Oily Fishes, like salmon and tuna is highly beneficial for the skin. Use more of olive oil, than any other oils, in cooking. Eat more nuts, dried and whole fruits, cereals, and legumes. A diet rich in fiber results in good digestion, thus helping you get a healthy skin.

Exfoliate Properly: Help your skin to shed its dead cells to promote the generation of newer ones by using good exfoliants that are available over the counter. Exfoliants make your skin smooth, as they produce new collagen, which improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Bust Your Stress: The psychological effect is more harmful for the skin. Stress is often called the ‘silent killer’. The effects of stress can be felt in the long run. The skin is perhaps the first to show the signs of a stressful lifestyle.

Meditation, yoga, and aromatherapy are very effective stress busters. Body massage is also a good way to reduce stress, as are the breathing exercises. Sleep properly as rest is of outmost importance. Six to eight hours of sleep is a must as the body requires time to rejuvenate itself.

Exercise Regularly: Exercising is important for the overall health and for the health of the skin. Regular physical exercise improves blood circulation in the skin and its oxygenation.

Green Tea: Yet another liquid, but an incredibly beneficial one. Green tea has anti inflammatory properties and is rich in polyphenols. And, for an added benefit, helps the metabolism.

Whole Wheat Bread: This item, while some might say has a less appealing flavor than, say, white bread, is healthy because it contains selenium. Selenium is a mineral that is helpful when it comes to skin cells, and, studies show, might even help skin damaged by the sun.

Growing Your Offline Business Online

Growing Your Offline Business Online

Internet marketing can catapult business sales. A company that sells homemade jars of jam to local customers could develop a website, advertise themselves online, and suddenly be inundated with more orders than they can fill, if the product is high quality. Rather than just adding new long-distance customers, online marketing can grow your offline business. Those living within reasonable driving distance of your store often turn to the internet to search for products, and if they see your information online, they will likely gladly visit you in person rather than purchase a product they haven’t seen and touched. Customers like to know exactly what they are paying for, and though they often turn to the internet to learn where to find products, ideally they want to buy them physically.

The reason internet marketing allows for such success is that a vast audience can be reached at a relatively low cost. Advertising in a local publication, such as a magazine or newspaper, can be costly and can only reach so many potential customers. Advertising online opens up endless possibilities. The key is placement of your ad. If you are selling picture frames, for example, then you want your ad to be placed on a website with related content in order to reach interested buyers. A photography website would offer ideal placement. Customers coming to the website to purchase a photograph will likely be in the market to buy a frame for that photograph, and they can see your ad displayed on the page. All it takes is one click of their mouse, and they will be directed to information about your products and how to purchase them. If you are looking to generate mainly offline business growth, then you will want your ad placed on a local related business’ website. The frame-maker would want to place his ad on a nearby photographer’s site.

Ideally, if you market your products on the internet, then you need to have a website set up for your business. On it, you need photos and detailed descriptions of your products, prices, a biographical section telling how your company got started and information about its founders and its history, and your store’s hours of operation, location, and telephone number. This will allow your customers to become familiar with your company and many of your products before they walk in the store. They can come knowing exactly what they want to buy and what the price will be. Listing location and store hours is crucial to maximize customer inflow. Listing the phone number will allow those living far away who cannot visit you in person to place phone orders. Stores selling similar products in other cities or states may see your products and be interested in selling them in their venues. Be sure to also provide an email address at which you can be reached for the convenience of potential customers or vendors. This could lead to more offline orders. You will want to use every avenue to boost your business.

Another marketing opportunity is using Facebook or Twitter to market your products. Set up a page for your business and invite customers and other related businesses to follow you or become a fan. Post your special sales or coupons.

Top Ten Best Food For Healthy Hair

Top Ten Best Food For Healthy Hair

We all know that a well-balanced diet is healthy for our body and critical for optimal health and performance. Our hair is no different. A mixture of protein, complex carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and iron are all required for healthy, strong hair.

It’s all about balance when it comes to optimal nutrition for maintaining healthy hair. “Hair is a fast-growing tissue and it’s likely to make demands on your body,” says Brian Thompson, principal trichologist and director of product development at Philip Kingsley Trichological Centre in New York and London. “You need a mixture of protein, complex carbohydrates, and vitamins and minerals. But if you consume too much of any one thing, particularly certain vitamins and minerals, you can create problems with hair growth.”

Read on for the 10 top foods that should be the foundation of your healthy hair diet.

Carrots

Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A, which promotes a healthy scalp along with good vision. Since a healthy scalp is essential for a shiny, well-conditioned head of hair, you’d be wise to include carrots in your diet as snacks or toppings on your salad.

Low-Fat Dairy Products

Low-fat dairy products like skim milk and yogurt are great sources of calcium, an important mineral for hair growth. They also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources. For some healthy hair foods “to-go,” try throwing a yogurt or cottage cheese cup in your bag when you head out in the morning to snack on later in the day. You can even boost their hair benefits by stirring in a couple of tablespoons of ground flaxseeds or walnuts for omega-3 fatty acids and zinc.

Oysters

Oysters may be better known for their reputation as an aphrodisiac, but they can also lead to healthy hair and who doesn’t love that? The key to their love and hair-boosting abilities is zinc a powerful antioxidant. If oysters don’t make a regular appearance on your dinner plate, don’t despair. In addition to getting it from whole grains and nuts, you can also get zinc from beef and lamb.

Whole Grains

Sink your teeth into hearty whole grains, including whole-wheat bread and fortified whole-grain breakfast cereals, for a hair-healthy dose of zinc, iron, and B vitamins.

A whole-grain snack can also be a great go-to food when your energy is zapped halfway through the afternoon, and you’ve still got hours to go before dinner.

Eggs

When it comes to healthy hair, it doesn’t matter whether you like your eggs scrambled, fried, or over easy. However they’re served up, eggs are one of the best protein sources you can find. They also contain biotin and vitamin B-12, which are important beauty nutrients.

Nuts

Do you go nuts for thick, shiny hair? You should. Brazil nuts are one of nature’s best sources of selenium, an important mineral for the health of your scalp.

Walnuts contain alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid that may help condition your hair. They are also a terrific source of zinc, as are cashews, pecans, and almonds. A zinc deficiency can lead to hair shedding, so make sure nuts are a regular on your healthy hair menu.

Beans

Beans, beans, they’re good for your … hair? Yes, it’s true. Legumes like kidney beans and lentils should be an important part of your hair-care diet. Not only do they provide plentiful protein to promote hair growth, but ample iron, zinc, and biotin. While rare, biotin deficiencies can result in brittle hair. Blatner, who is also a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association, recommends three or more cups of lentils or beans each week.

Dark Green Vegetables

Popeye the Sailor Man didn’t eat all that spinach for healthy hair, but he could have. Spinach, like broccoli and Swiss chard, is an excellent source of vitamins A and C, which your body needs to produce sebum. The oily substance, secreted by your hair follicles, is the body’s natural hair conditioner. Dark green vegetables also provide iron and calcium.

Water

If you have dry hair or just want to prevent straw-like strands drink more. “Hair is one-quarter water,” White says. He recommends the typical eight glasses a day. Bring a water bottle to work so you don’t spend the entire day refilling your mug at the fountain.

Beef

If you don’t have high cholesterol, Thompson recommends eating red meat twice a week for optimal hair health. Not only does beef have the protein you need, but also B vitamins, iron, and zinc, important minerals for healthy hair.

Useful Tricks For Weight Loss Without Exercise

Useful Tricks For Weight Loss Without Exercise

Losing weight without exercising is possible to a certain degree, but realistically, you should only expect to lose a small percentage of weight this way. Reaching your ultimate weight loss goal will be almost impossible without exercising at least some of the time. Also, you should keep in mind that weight loss is NOT exactly the same as fat loss. Some people can manage to lose a lot of weight in a short time but, the loss may be mostly made up of protein, water and some other nutrients, and only a small amount coming from stored body fat. If this is the case, then most of the weight will probably be regained at a later date!

Use a Food Journal to Record Everything That is Eaten

When someone tries to lose without exercise, her diet needs to be almost perfect. The best way to analyze a diet and be sure how many calories are consumed every day is to keep a food journal. Starting a food journal before the weight loss is even attempted can make it much easier for the person to start out her diet on the right path.

In the food journal everything that is eaten should be written down, no matter how small. Even a single jellybean needs to be recorded in the journal. For the first few days add up the calories and determine the starting point, then adjustments can be made from there. As the diet continues, a food journal should still be kept so that the person stays focused on the diet and keeps the diet clean and healthy.

White Foods Need To Be Replaced By Whole Grains

One of the best ways to lose weight without exercise is by substituting the “white” processed foods in a diet for whole grains. Such things as white bread, white rice, and pasta noodles should be substituted for whole grain bread, brown rice, and whole grain or whole wheat noodles.

The reason why these whole grain foods help people lose weight is because they have a lot of fiber in them and they are not full of processed, empty calories. When an individual consumes more fiber they get full faster and feel full longer, which means ultimately less food is eaten. It may take awhile to get used to the whole grain substitutes but after awhile most people don’t even miss the white foods.
Eat Smaller More Frequent Meals to Lose Weight

Instead of three large meals, try eating five small meals throughout the day or at least three medium size meals with two small snacks. This helps prevent overeating at a meal and helps to keep the metabolism stable throughout the day.

When two or three large meals are eaten in a day, the tendency to overeat due to being overly hungry is very common. Also, when the body goes hungry it slows down the metabolism and if someone is trying to lose weight without exercising, the metabolism needs to be as high as possible. On the other hand, five small meals are eaten every day the body stays fueled all day long and that prevents overeating. These five small meals should be healthy foods that are full of vitamins and nutrients and stay within a person’s allotted calorie range to help them lose weight without exercise.

When it comes to losing weight without exercise, the weight may not come off as fast as most people like it to. If someone is looking to lose weight faster, some sort of physical activity should be added into the day. It doesn’t have to be an intense hour long workout but even taking a 10 minute walk can help increase the weight loss.

Quick Fat Loss Tricks

    * A good fat burning trick is to begin with a breakfast that can help kick-start the fat burning process. Protein rich foods, such as omelettes or even a protein shake can be a great start to the day. Although, you should make sure the portion size is kept small as you won’t want to add unnecessary calories to the diet. Eating high protein foods can increase your metabolism by up to 25%, giving a great boost to results over the first few months of any weight loss program. With correct dietary tricks you won’t need to wait until the workout to start burning the fat!
    * Always try to do some form of exercise in the morning, preferably before breakfast. This is usually a good exercise time to do it because the body’s fat burning is set and readily available. Eating breakfast before exercising provides extra blood sugar which will be used during the exercise period over stored body fat. If you’re too hungry or your blood sugar is low, then maybe a banana would be a good choice as its light in calories and will give just a little sugar to help push you through the exercise session. If morning exercise is out of the question, then try for mid-afternoon.
    * Eat within half hour after exercising. Exercise causes the enzymes that process nutrients to be highly active, thus eating at this stage makes sure all nutrition and energy is utilized for recovery and replenishment purposes and less likely to be stored as fat you’ve just burnt off! This is also a great time to eat your highest calorie meal of the day.
    * Try not to eat late at night. Our metabolism slows down towards bedtime, so eating late means any calories have a greater chance for storage as fat. If you must eat, just snack on fruit or something just as light.
    * If you would like a supplement to boost your fat burning potential then think about taking L-Carnitine. This is an amino acid in protein, especially red meat. It has been shown to push body fat into the cells and prompts it to be burned as fuel. Many competitive bodybuilders use L-Carnitine when cutting up for a show. The supplement is also safe to use by anyone and does not have any side effects. Just follow the directions in the instructions.

Five Basic Daily Facial Skin Care Tips

Five Basic Daily Facial Skin Care Tips

What is the secret of a beautiful face? Proper skincare, the right beauty sleep every night, a balanced diet and an extra portion of care on a regular basis. We must also remember that the needs of our skin change: During the day, it needs protection from the environmental effects, for example. At night, it is regenerating and therefore needs care that supports this process. Also, the skin’s ability to regenerate wanes with age. So it especially then needs care and nutrients.

Great looking skin is a wonderful thing to have because it’s right there on your face, it’s kind of hard to hide. The skin also protects our bodies from the outside world. Most of us don’t think our skin is so great looking. Even if you were born with a perfect complexion, or one that is not so good, you should make an effort to take care of it correctly. When you are going through adolescence, your body is trying to adjust to changes in the hormone balance, and this affects your skin big time.

There’s tried-and-true ways to properly care for your skin, from the right way to cleanse your face, to the best moisturizers and sunscreens. Before we start with the proper daily skincare routine, you’ll need to know your skin type. How you care for your skin is utterly dependent on the type of skin you have: oily, normal/combination, dry, sensitive or sun damaged. However, healthy skin is something that is from within; eating healthy food and avoiding stress can help you the most in this. The 5 basic steps of skin and facial care are:

Cleansing:

Start your skin care with cleansing. Get a cleanser that suits your skin type. Steer clear of soaps as they make your skin dry; cleansers on the other hand contain oil, surfactants and water. Cleanser helps to remove oil, dirt and makeup from your skin effectively. However, using cleanser too often can also be harmful; at times just washing your face at night is enough. In the morning, it’s great to use a splash of lukewarm water to remove excess oils from your skin caused by nightly moisturizer.

Exfoliate:

Exfoliation is the step most people skip in their weekly skincare routine. But trust me, if you start properly exfoliating your skin, you will notice an almost immediate difference. According to Berg, one of the reasons men’s skin looks more youthful than women’s is because men tend to exfoliate daily when they shave. There are several ways to exfoliate skin: Microdermabrasion, chemical peels and retinoids.

Scrubbing:

Scrubs are very useful for removing the top layer of dead skin cells that make your complexion dull. A gentle scrub with tiny grains is the best for all skin types, as big grains in cheap scrubs can tear your skin and can cause rather more harm than good. You can also use a half-teaspoon of sugar for scrubbing your face. Keep rubbing it until it melts away and then wipe off your face with a warm & wet cloth. Thrash of the flour can also be used for scrubbing. You can also find some good scrubs in the market.

Moisturizing:

Moisturizer is a must for everyone, no matter which skin type you have. Even oily skin will benefit from moisturizers. Only the skin with acne should avoid it. Your skin will tell you that how much moisturizer is needed. If your skin is tight, it means that it needs moisture, but do not over moisturize your skin as it can cause clogged pores. You can go for any of the good quality moisturizers available in the market, but make sure that you read the information written on it as for which skin type it may be used. Olive oil can also be used to give your face required moisture, but it can only be used in winters.

Apply Sunscreen:

O Magazine ran an article featuring interviews with several top skin care experts and dermatologists (check it out here). Every single one of them said sunscreen was the most important part of your skincare regimen. It was the secret they would pass on to their daughters.

The number-1 cause of wrinkles is sun damage, so it’s important to use sunscreen from your early years on even in winter and on cloudy days. A great trick is to purchase two moisturizers: One for night and one for day that includes UV protection. Don’t use moisturizers with sunscreen at night, the ingredients are not meant to be used 27/7 and can aggravate skin. When choosing a sunscreen, make sure it contains Mexoryl (found in my favorite sunscreen La-Roche Posay) or Helioplex, found in Neutrogena products.

Some Other Facial Skin Care Tips:

Along with your face, other parts of your body also need care. If your eyes look puffy or swollen, wash your face and cover your eyes with sliced potatoes or cucumbers for a few minutes. This is really effective in the morning. Clean you nails with white vinegar before applying nail polish for a smoother finish and make it last longer. Olive oil mixed with melted beeswax can serve as a great lip balm. Try all these tips suggested and get prepared for receiving bunch of compliments for your glowing & youthful skin.

Best Natural Remedies To Stop Hair Fall

Best Natural Remedies To Stop Hair Fall

The search for natural alternatives to treat hair loss aims to find alternatives for conventional pharmacological measures, since these often have extreme side effects. One of these alternatives is homeopathy – it can be termed a natural route because this medicinal system utilizes distillations of organic substances. Homeopathy has several treatment modes for addressing hair loss. A qualified homeopath’s arsenal of remedies includes fluoric acid, lycopodium, kali carbonicum, kali sulphuricum, natrum mur, phosphorus, selenium and tissue salts. What a homeopath actually prescribes depends on the problem’s nature and severity.

Causes of Specific Types of Hair Loss

Pattern Baldness (androgenetic alopecia)

In male- and female-pattern baldness, the time of growth shortens, and the hairs are not as thick or sturdy. With each growth cycle, the hairs become rooted more superficially and more easily fall out. Heredity likely plays a key role. A history of androgenetic alopecia on either side of your family increases your risk of balding. Heredity also affects the age at which you begin to lose hair and the developmental speed, pattern and extent of your baldness.

Cicatricial Alopecia

This type of permanent hair loss occurs when inflammation damages and scars the hair follicle. This prevents new hair from growing. This condition can be seen in several skin conditions, including lupus erythematosus or lichen planus. It’s not known what triggers or causes this inflammation.

Alopecia Areata

This is classified as an autoimmune disease, but the cause is unknown. People who develop alopecia areata are generally in good health. A few people may have other autoimmune disorders, including thyroid disease. Some scientists believe that some people are genetically predisposed to develop alopecia areata and that a trigger, such as a virus or something else in the environment, sets off the condition. A family history of alopecia areata makes you more likely to develop it. With alopecia areata, your hair generally grows back, but you may lose and regrow your hair a number of times.

Telogen Effluvium

This type of hair loss is usually due to a change in your normal hair cycle. It may occur when some type of shock to your system – emotional or physical – causes hair roots to be pushed prematurely into the resting state. The affected growing hairs from these hair roots fall out. In a month or two, the hair follicles become active again and new hair starts to grow. Telogen effluvium may follow emotional distress, such as a death in the family or a physiological stress, such as a high fever, sudden or excessive weight loss, extreme diets, nutritional deficiencies, surgery, or metabolic disturbances. Hair typically grows back once the condition that caused it corrects itself, but it usually take months

Traction Alopecia

Excessive hairstyling or hairstyles that pull your hair too tightly cause traction alopecia. If the pulling is stopped before there’s scarring of your scalp and permanent damage to the root, hair usually grows back normally.

Furniture Arrangement Ideas For Home Decor

Furniture Arrangement Ideas For Home Decor

The truth is the placement of your furniture will have a huge impact on how you view the room, how you feel when you are in the room and how functional the room will be. Many people are unhappy with the way a room looks, and they often blame the furniture and go out and buy new pieces. The problem may not have been the actual furniture but how it was arranged in the room.

Designing a room for maximum use and movement requires information about furniture requirements and knowledge about how the space will be used. A room may be wide enough for a 6-foot wide desk, but if it is impossible to walk around the desk to sit behind it, it does not make much sense to have it in that room.

Before attempting to create a floor and furniture plan, know what the room will be used for, the size of any furniture to be used in the room and the minimal dimensions needed for movement within the room. Here are some furniture arrangement ideas to help you with the placement of your furniture within your home:

Furniture Arrangement Ideas:

Focal Point:

The first step, when coming up with living room furniture arrangement ideas, is to select a focal point in the room. Every living room must have a focal point which can be anything, from a bay window to the classic living room arrangement furniture ideas of a fireplace or even a console table. It can be anything that you think reflects the style of the whole room or the house. Identifying the focal point is half the battle won. Once you have selected a focal point, go about your living room furniture layout in such a way that it accentuates the beauty of the focal point. It is not necessary that each piece of furniture faces the focal point, but in a way is made to underscore its importance. Every chair in the living room or even the knick-knacks should be placed or accessorized in such a way that they take away from the focal point.

Balance:

One of the basic things that you need to keep in mind while placing furniture is that you have to create balance. Stuffing one room with too much furniture and keeping the other sparsely populated will create an impression of imbalance in the house. At the same time, make sure that even in one room, furniture is not cluttered at a particular place only, leaving the rest of the place almost deserted.

Feng Shui:

The key element to feng shui is placing the furniture so it aligns with the flow of energy in the room. The furniture should flow freely and breathe, and the room must never feel cramped or cluttered. The entryway must be visible from all the pieces in the room. If this is not possible, use mirrors to create the illusion and open up the space. This rule applies to desks, sinks, stoves, chairs, beds and all other furniture pieces. Try having about three feet of space between the furniture pieces. Large pieces of art should be hung over large pieces of furniture, and commonly used items should be placed at eye level.

Usage of a Particular Item:

Always keep in mind the frequency of the usage of a particular item, while placing it in the room. The most frequently used items should be placed in such a way that they are easily accessible. For instance – in the kitchen, the best place for cutlery cupboard is near the cooking range. Likewise, you can follow the rule in case of placing items like sofa, fireplace and TV, in the living room.

Impressions Created:

While placing the furniture, stand back and analyze what kind of an impression does it create and whether the impression it gives is really the one that you want it to exude. For instance – chairs that are placed with their backs to the door will never ever look inviting to the guests. The same way, angled groups of furniture impart an impression of coziness and warmth.

Less is More:

A key element to remember for any living room furniture arrangement is not to clutter your room. When selecting furniture, it is very important to keep in mind the area of your room. No matter how stylish the pieces of furniture is, by cluttering too many pieces, you are not only taking away the beauty of the furniture, but also making the room unpractical and difficult to get in to or get out of. For any room, along with looking great, it is also equally important to be practical, that is having more than one entry or exit point. The furniture should be arranged in such a way that there is a natural flow. Such simple pointers make arranging living room furniture seem so easy, isn’t it?

Dividing the Space:

All rooms have different shapes and sizes, and one common problem that is faced while coming up with living room furniture arrangement ideas is when you have a long living room. If you have a long or large living room, then the living room furniture arrangement can be done by dividing the room to bring intimacy and a comfortable sense of scale to the room. You can either make it into two sections of living and dining, or even create two living room sections one formal and another a little casual. For ideas, you can look at furniture arrangement photos in magazines.

Convenience:

Last, but not the least, is the comfort of the whole arrangement. Remember a house becomes a home because of the people who live in it. So, while placing furniture, you need to ensure that the whole layout and design is comfortable to your family members. If the placement of TV looks very stylish, but does not allow you to see it from the comfort of your sofa, it is as good as wasted.

So you’re not a froofy floral arrangement girl – that doesn’t mean you can’t still have wedding decorations that wow. Think outside the proverbial wedding flower box with this list of blossom free wedding decoration ideas

The Food Pyramid

Fill cylindrical glass vases with fruits and vegetables reflecting your colors. Lemons and limes have been done, so try a unique, more contemporary look with texture-rich earthy vegetables like cauliflower, asparagus, cabbage or artichokes. If citrus suits your color scheme and you’re using flowers, slice the lemons or limes and place them in the jar surrounding the stems.

Love Visually

Build a structure consisting of a bunch of different ornate frames with photos of not only you and your fiance, but also parents and grandparents whose marriages serve as inspiration for time-tested love.

Au Natural

Consult Mother Nature for inspiration, and bring the outdoors in.  Natural objects like stones, leaves, pine cones, even twigs can add an organic aesthetic to your reception decor.  Place in rustic containers or scatter amongst pillar candles for added ambiance.  This idea will nicely complement a fall wedding theme.

A Library Look

Stacks of books intricately piled can work in a number of different ways. For sophisticates, choose antique leather-bounds and vintage classics. For a more fun approach, use books with bright spines and kitschy titles. Or, tie it to your wedding location if beach-side.

Wine-O

Wine bottles and decanters create interesting focal pieces.  Turn a wine bottle into a “lamp” by filling it with candle oil and adding a wick.  Or use a grouping of bottles with a tall single bloom in each.

Lighten Up

Floating candles in a shallow bowl adds light and elegance to your tabletops.  Or arrange multi-level candles on a mosaic of mirrors or tiles, and surround them with seashells or flower petals.  Placing coffee beans or red hot candies at the bottom of a vase or bowl to hold the candles steady also adds an aromatic effect.

Consult your Inner Child

For the kid at heart, fill decorative bowls with your favorite candies – such as jellybeans and M&M’s – in your wedding colors. These centerpieces are sure to be a hit with your guests!

11 Best Way To Make Your Hair Grow Longer

11 Best Way To Make Your Hair Grow Longer

One of the biggest myths about black hair is that it doesn’t grow or grow as quickly as other types of hair. All hair grows an average of ½ inch per month, but it’s how you treat your hair that determines how much you’ll retain. Some women swear by vitamin regimens that call for popping pills all day long, while others cut their hair according to the phases of the moon. There’s no mumbo-jumbo involved in hair growth. All that’s required is your commitment to healthy hair practices and treating your hair. Here are 11 tips you can use to grow your hair longer and stronger:

Follow A Healthy Lifestyle

Before we get to the outside, we need to take care of the inside. Yes, what you eat, drink and how you treat your body has an effect on your hair. You need to eat enough fresh fruits and vegetables, drink enough water and exercise regularly for your body’s overall health. Since your hair grows directly from your body, when you treat your body well, your skin, nails and hair benefit, too. People who suffer from vitamin deficiencies and unhealthy diets can suffer from dry, brittle hair.

Get Regular Trims

This sounds counterproductive if you want your hair to grow longer, but trims help get rid of dry, damaged and split ends which can work their way up the shaft of your hair, causing even more damage. A trim is defined as removing ¼ to ½ inch of hair, nothing more. If your stylist insists on cutting off inches of hair every time you go in for a visit, your hair won’t get longer, so either find a professional who understands exactly how much hair you need removed or learn to trim your hair yourself. Depending on the chemicals you have in your hair as well as your daily routine, you may need a trim anywhere from every six weeks to six months. The better you care for your hair on a day-to-day basis, the less often you’ll need trims.

Use Moisturizing Products

Because black hair is often dry by nature, it’s best to use products that replace needed moisture. This includes using shampoos and conditioners formulated for dry and/or damaged hair. These products don’t have to come strictly from the “ethnic” hair aisle, either; many mainstream brands make hair products for different types of hair, from oily to dry.

Low Manipulation

There’s no need to brush your hair 100 strokes per night before going to sleep. In fact, the less you do to black hair, the more it flourishes.

Use Protective Styling

Once your hair is a certain length, you might want to wear it loose all the time to let everyone know just how long it is. You want to feel the wind blowing it to and fro, but wearing your hair in protective styles more often than not will help you retain that precious length. Protective styles keep your ends – the oldest and often driest parts of your hair – from rubbing against clothing, pillowcases and car seats. By keeping these ends up and out of sight, you hold in the moisture your hair needs and prevent dryness that can lead to breakage. Protective styling also applies to nighttime care; a silk or satin hair cover or pillowcase is better for the health of your hair than cotton.

Stay Away From Heat

While occasional flat iron and curling iron use is usually fine (so long as the heat isn’t too high), you should minimize heat styling as much as possible. Choose hairstyles that don’t rely on so much heat, as well as gentle styling methods like wraps, wet sets and twists.

Use The Right Tools

With all of the hair styling tools and accessories out there, it can seem overwhelming. What do you buy? The best tools and accessories for black hair work with its natural texture. They don’t pull on it, but are gentle. When you lose less hair to tools and accessories, that’s more hair you keep on your head.

Condition, Condition, Condition

This is crucial for having healthy hair. Besides the right shampoo and conditioner, use leave-in conditioners as well. You also need a good deep conditioner; use it at least once a month. Well-moisturized hair is less prone to dryness and breakage, leading to more hair retention.

Relax With Care

Chemical abuse is one of the biggest causes of hair damage in black women. Everyone isn’t going to go to a professional to get her hair relaxed; even some who do may find that the stylist isn’t putting hair health as her top priority. When it comes to growing relaxed hair longer, you can’t relax too often, but when it’s time for a touch-up, get one because the longer you wait, the greater the chance of breakage occurring where the relaxed hair meets the new growth. Overlapping a relaxer onto previously relaxed hair is another major cause of breakage. If you choose to wear your hair relaxed, it’s best to find a competent stylist and stick with him or her – the fewer people you have applying chemicals to your hair, the better.

Go, And Stay, Natural

If you currently relax your hair and see a lot of breakage and damage, consider stopping chemical processes altogether. Many women have rediscovered their natural texture after years of straightening. Learning to work with your hair in its natural state may take getting used to; some women don’t know what their real texture is like because their hair has been permed since childhood. While cutting off all of your relaxed hair sounds like the last thing you want to do to gain length, getting rid of chemically processed hair at once, instead of trimming away as your new growth comes in, is the easiest way to return to your roots. It also leads to less breakage and less frustration in dealing with two different textures.

Wear Gentle Styles
Black hair is not as tough as it may appear, so you need to choose styles that keep its fragile nature in mind. Too-tight ponytails and braids worn over extended periods of time will eventually lead to breakage.

Top 7 Common Relationship Problems and Solutions

Top 7 Common Relationship Problems and Solutions

No matter how happy a couple is and how compatible they are with each other, they will still fight. I know; the fact that every couple has relationship problems is little comfort when your relationship is going through a rough patch. But what does make you feel better is that if others can solve their love problems, so can you. In this article, I talk about two of the common relationship problems that are faced by people and what you can do to handle them.

Most of us have problems getting along with someone in our lives. Often times it is with someone that we really want to be close to.  There are a number of very common relationship problems. According to William Glaser M.D., almost all relationship problems are the result of a controlling, punishing, “I know what’s right for you” mindset.  Glaser calls this mindset external control psychology and believes it is one of the primary reasons that people are unhappy and have failing relationships.

There are all types of relationship problems including the ones with marriage. For whatever problem there is a solution. Below are some of the most common relationship problems and solutions including resources that can help you solve the problem and have a better relationship or marriage.

Compatibility:

This is one issue that really needs to be addressed. You can never really tell if you are 100% compatible with your partner. Compatibility deals with the ease in which two people make adjustments towards each other. More often than not couples who are compatible get to adjust to one another and this compatibility issue helps the couple to get along with each other really well. Once there is a problem with compatibility then being able to adjust towards each other will be harder thus will cause problems in the future.

Communication:

Communication is one of the things that determine the success of any relationship and it’s ironic how we always take it for granted. Most problems root from poor communication skills. Both of you should be honest and the most important thing is learn how to listen. Make time or an actual appointment with each other. If you live together, put your mobile phones on vibrate or let the answering machine pick up your calls if you really need to talk and settle an issue.

Commitment:

Because there are lots of things that get our attention and keep us busy, we tend to lose focus in the relationship. If you lose commitment to the relationship or one another, then this could be a big relationship problem. Losing commitment to one another is like losing the trust, and love that you have given to one another.

Trust:

In a relationship, trust is the fuel that drives the partners forward. In an absence of trust, the relationship is bound to break up sooner or later. One must understand that there is no magic potion that can build trust in a relationship. If the partners fail to work out trust in their relationship in one way, then they must know that it be done in any other way and try alternative ways. Both the partners must work in various ways to build the trust and take care of their relationship.

Sex:

You might think that sex will never be a problem in a relationship because it is something that you both do consensually. But even partners who really love each other can be incompatible sexually. Sex is actually one act which brings a couple closer together. It is an act that makes two bodies into one. So if you don’t have sexual chemistry then this might be a cause for another to cheat or find someone to satisfy their sexual needs.

Money:

Believe it or not, money is one of the most common reasons why couples break up or end up in divorce. Relationship experts suggest that couples with money woes really need to sit down and talk about their finances. Be honest about your present financial situation. Do you owe an unbelievable amount in your credit card? Do you keep your bills up to date? If things are not doing so well for you, you may want to think twice in continuing the same lifestyle that you’ve been used to before the loss.

If both of you are big spenders, both of you have to be dedicated in changing your ways tendencies. Construct a joint budget and include savings. Stick to your needs and not your wants.

Focus:

When in a relationship, the focus should naturally be on the relationship. This is where many people make the mistake. Unless the relationship is a priority, it will soon lose its luster.  There are very few things that one can put above a
relationship. However, when other relationships, friends or work start taking precedence over the relationship, then you can be sure that grave problems are underlying. Such problems can put any relationship to the back burner.

These most common relationship problems are revealed in different ways:

    * Over involvement in another person’s life
    * Constant phone calls, visits, e-mails, etc.
    * Requests for attention or acknowledgment
    * Jealous or controlling behaviors (common relationship fears)
    * Withdrawal or extreme guardedness

To minimize these relationship problems in love:

Be aware of your fears! It’s okay to feel fear of intimacy; simply knowing that you’re afraid of losing yourself and being engulfed by your relationship or family could prevent it from happening. When you know what you fear, you’re in a better position to deal with it. Accepting that you have a common relationship problem will help you solve it.

Express yourself appropriately. If you’re afraid of being abandoned, try not to suffocate your loved ones with excessive attention or jealousy. Talk about your feelings, write them down see a counselor if you’re really struggling. Don’t let your relationship problems which are normal dictate your behavior or wreck your relationship.

Get educated. Do you have an extreme fear of intimacy or fear of abandonment? Find out how to successfully deal with change and how to be supportive when your loved ones want to change. Read books, seek support groups, or talk to a counselor about your relationship problems.

These common relationship problems take some work to overcome, but being aware and open to change will go a long way.

Personal Training Marketing System

Personal Training Marketing System

I have for you one of THE MOST powerful and effective lead generation programs for your fitness business. You will have more leads than you ever thought was possible.

Want to hear some great news? You can start realizing the benefits right away, and you don't have to take a course, or read any books about how to do this. It seem too good to be true, right?

But it's not. It's a proven program that will show you that your business can grow, and right away too! You're not going to have to break a sweat; it's so good that it will almost seem to work all on its own, if you do things right.

How well will it work? Well if you like the idea of earning six figures like I have using this system, then I would say that it will work very well for you.

The secret weapon that you need for your fitness business marketing program, is called a lead box. Yes, the same humble lead box that you might find at any privately owned store or restaurant. You might be scratching your head at this point, and maybe you've wondered if anyone can get leads from using a lead box. You can and this is how.

Let's say that you set out 10 lead boxes, and those 10 boxes produced 100 leads for you a week. In a month, you would have 400 leads, and even if you only got 200 leads that panned out, you'd be having a rockin' good month, leads wise.

Now here's the thing. In order for this to really start working for you, then you have to cultivate personal relationships with the owners and the operators of these businesses. There needs to be some incentive on their part to display your lead box. Otherwise, your lead box is going into the trash, and you will waste time and feel frustrated.

Next, get yourself a notepad and pen. Start making a list of 50 potential businesses that you can contact to put a box in their stores. Make sure that these are businesses that would be a natural fit for your fitness clients. Any of the beauty service shops are going to definitely be key. Also, think about places like health food stores, doctors offices, etc.

Make sure you then get phone numbers for these 50 businesses. You need to start making some phone calls to these businesses. The phones are a key point in your campaign. You will get on the phones and say something to this effect:

"Hi, I'm Joe or Jane Trainer, and I own a fitness boot camp, or a fitness studio. I wanted to inform you that I want to start referring all of my current and future clients to your business. The reason is because your business is a good fit for my clients. Who do I need to speak with regarding referring customers to your business?"

Please note this: You need to get past the gatekeepers. These are the cashiers, the front desk person or managers. You want the decision makers, such as the owners, the general managers, or the PR managers. They will want to know in their minds what's in this for them, and what's the catch. You'll say," I'd like to offer you and the staff a free membership to my (service that you offer). By the same token, I'll refer my clients to your business. You'll be among the few businesses that I feel are in line with the type of businesses that my clients would want to shop with. All that I'm asking is that you display one of my lead boxes in a prominent area. How does that sound?"

Either they'll say yes or no. If they say yes, you are going to put a lead box in their business. You will get some "no"s, and this is why you want to start with a baseline of 50 businesses.

Next, you're going to follow up on your lead boxes. Think of it like checking to make sure that the seeds that you planted are sprouting. Only, you are going to keep a constant check on your boxes. You WILL follow up on the leads immediately. If you do nothing else, you MUST follow this step, or the whole campaign will be shot.

Next, you will chose at random a "lucky winner" to get a free membership package once a month. The rest of the leads "win" a free week of your services. You'll want to do this when you're hosting a boot camp or a group training session. You don't want to spend excess resources on the one-on-ones.

Now, here's another reason for you to build those relationships with the owners and the managers. If they participate in your services and they like you, they will tell their customers to sign up in your lead boxes, and they will send people your way. Now your lead boxes are doing the hard work for you!

Like I mentioned, I used this, and my leads went through the roof! The same thing happened with my Fit Body Boot camp owners also. Money was made by all.

Last, remember that you should add the new leads to your FitPro newsletter email list when you contact them with the free week offer. Add those business owners to the email list also. If you do this, you make good on your word to promote their businesses.

The system that I just shared with you made me six figures and it can work so well for you!

How To Pick Honeymoon Destinations

How To Pick Honeymoon Destinations

Although there are some magazines and advertisements available for you to look at when you are still deciding for your honeymoon destination, the most probable thing to happen to you is to select not the best for you but the most advertised destination.

    * Choosing your honeymoon destination is almost as important as choosing the music for your first dance. This should be started as soon as the wedding date is set. Men if you are in charge of choosing the honeymoon destination on your own then it can be tricky. First thing you need to do is think back and remember places the she has told you she want to go. Write it down in list format under the heading HER! Now draw a line vertically next to her list and next to HER write the heading ME. Now write down where you would like to go.
    * Now, on a separate piece of paper, write down the place that was on both of these lists. Keep the other lists handy. Keep in mind that it’s not all about the place you go, it’s about the memories you will make there. Keeping that in mind, talk to her friends that you can trust not to spoil the surprise. She may have expressed an interest in some honeymoon destination you haven’t thought of.
    * Ok, now its time to rate your list. Here is how you should approach this task. DO NOT rate it as to where you would like to go first. You will now be traveling as one. Think about your common interests other than travel. What you like to do. Do you both hike? Do you both like to snorkel? Do you both love Italian food? Write these down also in list form next to honeymoon destinations. Rate the COMMON INTEREST list.
    * Now match up the lists. If you have a common interest that you do with you fiancée quit often, then match that activity up with the honeymoon destination that would be best suited for that activity. Honeymoons are meant to be fun, romantic, and full of memories.
    * Now you have everything rated. If you have a destination that links with multiple activities that’s ok, that’s even better. Honeymoon destinations like this rate high on the list. If you see a destination that incorporates three or four activities then you have your answer. More often than not this will happen.
    * One example: You both like cruises. You like to snorkel. You love Italian food. You love history. See the trend. A Mediterranean Cruise would be perfect for the couple with a list like this.

Remember that the place should not necessarily be the least expensive; it should be the place where you will be able to enjoy and have fun together.

Common Phrases to Avoid in Conversation

Common Phrases to Avoid in Conversation

What Not to Say About Someone's Appearance

Don't say: "You look tired."
Why: It implies she doesn't look good.
Instead say: "Is everything OK?" We often blurt the "tired" comment when we get the sense that the other person feels out of sorts. So just ask.

Don't say: "Wow, you've lost a ton of weight!"
Why: To a newly trim person, it might give the impression that she used to look unattractive.
Instead say: "You look fantastic." And leave it at that. If you're curious about how she got so svelte, add, "What's your secret?"

Don't say: "You look good for your age."
Why: Anything with a caveat like this is rude. It's saying, "You look great compared with other old people. It's amazing you have all your own teeth."
Instead say: "You look great."

Don't say: "I could never wear that."
Why: It can be misunderstood as a criticism. ("I could never wear that because it's so ugly.")
Instead say: "You look so good in skinny jeans." If you slip, say something like "I could never wear that…because I wasn't blessed with your long legs."

How to Be Affectionate: Ways to Improve Your Marriage

How to Be Affectionate: Ways to Improve Your Marriage

Let’s take a good look at the word affectionate. The strangely poetic dictionary definition says that it means simply displaying warmth or displaying affection. The fact that the verb “display” is built into the definition tells us a lot simply having warm feelings is not enough to create affectionate feelings, you need to actually act on them.

A relationship without affection is hardly a relationship at all. Affection is the thing that separates a close friend from a lover or romantic partner, and making displays of that affection is so key to keeping a relationship afloat that many couples get by on their affection alone.

There are few things as comforting as a relationship where your partner is affectionate. Having someone who is affectionate towards you is soothing and reassuring, like living with a safety net. It just makes you feel loved and wanted. But not everyone is in a relationship where their partner displays their affection. For some people, it is just difficult to be so open about how they feel. Others just don’t know how. So if you are in a situation like this, you may need to know how to handle a relationship with someone who isn’t affectionate at all.

Being affectionate with your partner will help both of you gain a deeper level of intimacy. It may be frightening, at first, to feel so vulnerable with the one you love. But you can it with the help of a few tips.

Be Affectionate All The Time:

This means that displaying your affection is not just a task for intimate moments. The next time your partner is cooking, washing the dishes, or doing some other chore, you can display affection on the small scale by walking up behind them and wrapping your arms around their waist or kissing the back of their neck.

This shows that you care about them even when they’re doing busy work and is the perfect way to thank your lover for doing a chore. Talking to your partner, telling that person you love them, is important all day long and not just when you’re “in the mood”.

Make it a Point to Touch Your Partner:

I know, I know we just said that being affectionate isn’t about constantly touching your partner. Then again, small moments of touching spread throughout the day (and regardless of circumstances) proves that you are truly affectionate and not just going through the motions. A simple and quick touch on your partner’s shoulder or waist, or even a thing as small as a kiss on the cheek can work wonders in your partnership. Think about the ways you like to be touched and share them with your partner consider these kinds of touches educational. When you make it a habit to touch your partner, you create intimacy in even the most chaotic of times.

Snuggle Together on the Couch:

After a long day at work, many couples retire in front of a movie or the television. This is the perfect time to share affection, though many people miss out on it simply because they don’t think about it. Holding hands, touching your lover’s hair, and kissing during commercials (so you don’t miss a minute of your favorite show) will go a long way toward proving to your partner that you care. It is easy to get caught up in sexual touching and overlook the kind of soft, romantic touching that lovers need to maintain their romance and reassure each other of their love.

Take Walks Together:

Not only is taking a walk good for your body and your mind, it can be the perfect time to display affection. Even though your partner may never tell you so, display of affection in front of other people may be really important. It communicates to your lover that you want everyone to know how you feel about each other, and more often than not the two of you may solve other relationship problems while taking a slow stroll through your neighborhood. Holding hands during a walk is a pain-free way to communicate your love to your significant other.

Greet Your Partner with Affection:

There’s nothing better than coming home to the one you love. The next time your partner comes in the door from work, greet them with a big hug and kiss or another showy affectionate gesture. Work is stressful, and if you don’t greet your partner this way sometimes that stress invades your home and your relationship. The best antidote to stress is touch and affection before you do anything else when you walk in the door or when your partner walks in, announce how happy you are that he or she is home and start getting affectionate right away.

Try Functional Affection:

Not all affection is random or simply out of kindness. Some forms of affection are functional in that they actually get something done. The simple act of giving a back rub or a neck rub is a very functional way to show warmth and help your partner. Brushing your lover’s hair can be as intimate as any action you can take, and it does serve a purpose women especially tend to love to have their hair brushed.

It is soothing and is good for their hair. If your partner is really dreading a specific chore, taking that chore over and doing it for them every now and then is another way to show warmth without even touching.

Be Concerned About Your Level of Affection:

You’ve already got this step covered. Simply being worried about sharing affection with your partner shows that you want this relationship to work and are willing to go to great (or small) lengths to get the job done. Talk to your lover about what kind of affectionate touch they like or need, and share your own feelings on the subject.

Showing affection is easy and you can take just a few minutes out of your day to share it with your lover. There are few simpler things you can do to pump life back into your relationship. Whether you’re looking to ignite a spark that has gone out or to extend your romantic life into the everyday activities you and your partner share, displaying affection is vital to promoting happiness between you and your lover.

Best Method For Hair Removal

Best Method For Hair Removal

These days there are many options to hair removal. It’s not just about the razor anymore. Different hair removal methods work better on different areas and skin tones. Find out when and what  to shave, wax, laser, tweeze and zap.?

Home Hair Removal with Shaving

Shaving, which involves cutting off the hairs at the skin’s surface, is one of the most popular and oldest methods of home hair removal. The reason why this method has survived for so long as a popular practice is because it is the most simple, convenient, painless and cheap method of hair removal around.

However, this method of hair removal does have its downsides, the main one being that it is the most temporary of all the hair removal methods. Shaving will therefore generally need to be repeated every few days, or even daily for some. Another problem with shaving is that it can damage the skin if not done properly, or cause shaving rash and ingrown hairs.

Waxing – At Home or in The Salon

Waxing is another extremely popular method of body hair removal. This method involves placing warm wax onto the skin, which will then cool and attach to hairs. The wax is then pulled off the skin, in the opposite direction of hair growth, pulling hairs out at the root. This method can either be done at home or in the salon under the care of a professional.

The advantages of this method are that it is quick if done correctly, and also it is relatively inexpensive, particularly if done at home. It is also one of the longest lasting of the temporary hair removal methods as, because hair is pulled out at the follicle, results will last from two weeks upwards. The main disadvantages of this method are the pain involved, and the fact that hair must be at least ¼ inch long prior to waxing, meaning that there will be periods of time where unwanted body hair must be allowed to grow.

Using Hair Removal Cream

Hair removal creams use chemicals which dissolve the hair at its root. These have become increasingly popular as they are painless, convenient and cheap methods of hair removal which offer softer re-growth than shaving and longer lasting results, which can last up to two weeks.

The main disadvantages of this type of hair removal, however, are that the creams can be very messy, they can be very ineffective and, because of the use of chemicals, it is a very unnatural and harsh method of hair removal which can cause reactions on more sensitive skin.

Removing Hair with an Epilator

Epilation involves removing the whole hair with an epilator by running the electrical device (which resembles an electric shaver in appearance) over the skin slowly. The epilator will grasp hairs and pull them out from the root.

The advantages of epilation are that it is very economical, it is very convenient (as the epilator is handy for traveling, and the skin does not need to be wet for use), and the results are just as long lasting as those of waxing. The main disadvantage of using an epilator is the pain involved from pulling the hair out at its root. It is also a slower process than that of waxing, as fewer hairs can be pulled out at once.

Sugaring as a Hair Removal Method

Sugaring is similar to waxing except for the fact that a sugar-based substance is used to pull out hairs, rather than wax. The advantages of this method are that it is usually kinder to the skin (with less risk of allergy) than waxing because the paste used is generally made from natural ingredients, and it can also be less painful than waxing. The disadvantages of this method are that it can be messy when done at home, and it can still be painful for some.

Using a Hair Removal Mitt

Hair removal mitts, such as Alida Silkymit, have a surface that resembles sandpaper, which you rotate against dry skin in a circular motion in order to smooth away hair. The advantages of using a hair removal mitt are that they are very cheap, they are convenient for traveling, and results should last up to a week with regrowth being less noticeable. The disadvantages, however, are that this method can be harsh and painful for some users, and it can also be ineffective at removing all hairs.

Removing Hair Permanently with Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal involves using a laser to disable the hair follicle, so that hair falls out and doesn’t grow back. This method differs from the other methods mentioned here in that the hair removal is permanent, which is the obvious advantage of this method.

The disadvantages of laser hair removal, however, are that a course of treatment is needed before the results are permanent, which can mean that this is a very expensive method for larger areas such as legs. Some women may also find that their hair is not as responsive to this treatment as others, meaning that their hair removal is not permanent, or an excessive number of sessions may be needed for it to be so. This method of hair removal can also be very painful.

Finding the Best Hair Removal Method for the Individual

Some things to consider when choosing a hair removal method are its cost, its effectiveness, its effects on the skin, its convenience, its simplicity, the pain involved and how long the results last. No hair removal product scores perfectly in every one of these categories, so it is worthwhile for individuals to consider what is most import to them in a hair removal product.

Skin Care With Banana: Remedies At Home

Skin Care With Banana: Remedies At Home

Many people cringe at the sight of bananas. They fear the unnecessary calories they might be piling on. It is common to have them run right past the fruit while at the supermarket. While consuming bananas may lead to putting on a lot of calories, bananas can help care for the body and make quick remedies.

If you have areas of your body that appear cracked, dry and dull, try using a banana on them. This is useful for cracked and dry elbows and also the feet. Mix banana with a little honey, and a little gram flour with beaten and banana. After applying a thick coat of this mixture to the affected areas, leave it on for half an hour, or till the mixture has dried up totally. Wash it off using lukewarm water. This will help make the skin softer and responsive.

How to Use Banana Peel For Skin Care

Use To Help Psoriasis

Rub the inside of a banana peel to the affected area and although it will be red at first, you should notice a difference in your skin within a few days.

Use To Heal Acne

Again, simply rub the inside of the banana peel over your acne, whether it’s on your face or body, and your acne should improve within a few uses. I recommend applying at night so you don’t smell like a banana all day.

Take The Bite Out Of Poison Ivy

Rub the inside of a banana peel onto the poison ivy area and the itching should stop and the inflammation will go down. Reapply as needed. This is a great reason to pack a few banana’s on that camping or hiking trip.

Heal Warts

Rub the inside of a banana peel on the wart every night for a week and you will see improvement. Plantar’s warts have responded well to this, and other warts may as well. If you are in a hurry, try taping the peel to the affected area overnight and you should see dramatic improvement within a week or two.

Make a Facial Cream

* Mash 1/4 of a banana into a small bowl.
* In a separate bowl, whisk one egg white until frothy.
* Add one tablespoon of cornstarch to the egg white and continue to whisk together.
* Add mashed banana and mix well.
* Apply a thin layer of the banana mixture to face and allow to dry for 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
* Any leftover banana facial mixture can be kept in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Best Exercise For Girls Arms

Best Exercise For Girls Arms

In order to reduce arm fat, it’s necessary to exercise them specifically, a minimum of a couple times weekly. You are not alone if you dislike the way your arms appear. You’re not alone, there are many people every year who seek to lose extra flab from their arms. You will have a difficult time losing weight from a specific area unless you know what methods to use.

Losing weight in a specific area is not something that can be isolated. The proper way to lose weight comes from a good diet program and a consistent exercise routine. However, you can perform certain exercises that will help build muscle and tone your arms.

Proper Diet

You diet should contain protein, carbohydrates and fat. You should have more carbohydrates than fats and proteins, but you need to have all three in your diet. Stick to unsaturated fats, lean protein and whole grain type carbohydrates. This is healthier for you and you will feel better eating this way. You will have more energy because healthier foods help your body to work more efficiently. There is a difference between eating 100% whole wheat and white bread or eating fresh fruits instead of fruit flavored drinks. You will see and feel the difference.

Bicep Curls / Shoulder Press Combo

Stand with either a pair of dumbbells in your hands or stand on an exercise band with the ends held in your hands. Put your feet at hip distance apart. Lift the weights or band upward toward your shoulders. Then turn your palms to face out and press the weight overhead in a fluid motion. This exercise will provide strength building and toning for your biceps, deltoids and triceps. Complete 12 to 15 reps of this movement.

Tricep Dips

Sit on the edge of a bench and grab the edge of each side of the bench with fingers positioned out. Walk your feet slowly out in front of you so that your bottom comes off the bench. You should be holding yourself up with your feet and arms at this point. Lower your body slowly down by bending your arms at the elbows. Be sure to keep your shoulders in a strong posture position throughout the movement. Don’t roll in or buckle the shoulders as you dip. You can situate your knees so they are bent at a 90 degree angle and extended straight.

The goal during the exercise is to maintain a one-inch gap from the bench to your back. Do this 12 to 15 times. This exercise will tone and strengthen your triceps and deltoids.

Push-up

Push – ups are great for toning and building strength in the triceps, deltoids and pectoral muscles. Start facing the floor with your palms down directly under your shoulders. Your body should form a straight line from your head to your heels. Start the movement with your arms extended so that your body is elevated. Slowly lower your body down by bending the elbows. Lower yourself down so that you are at nose level to the floor. When you reach this low point, extend your arms back up to the elevated starting location.

To keep your back straight throughout the entire exercise, it helps to tighten your abdominal muscles. Be sure to not sag or arch the back, as this will not allow you to benefit from the exercise. Do between 12 to 15 reps.

Laser Hair Removal Tips For Clear And Glowing Skin

Laser Hair Removal Tips For Clear And Glowing Skin

There are many methods like waxing, plucking, shaving, hair removing creams and bleaching that are temporary hair removal methods. In the case of temporary methods, hair grows back in a week or fortnight and the same procedure has to be repeated every time. Applying chemicals to the skin so often can cause skin rashes thus, damaging the original texture of the skin. Therefore, people opt for permanent hair removal that guarantees no hair growth after the successful completion of the treatment.

Electrolysis and laser treatment are the permanent hair removal methods. Electrolysis is done by inserting a very thin metal probe under the skin to the root of the hair. The root contains the follicle. Electric current is passed in the follicle through the probe, which damages that area. Damaged hair follicle is unable to grow hair. Electrolysis is considered to be expensive, painful and can cause permanent skin damage. If not done by well-trained professionals, it can lead to skin infection. There is also a possibility of regrowth after electrolysis.

Laser hair removal technique eliminates all the drawbacks of electrolysis. It is less painful as there is no direct contact of any instrument with the skin. A beam of laser or intense light is passed through the skin. This beam basically targets the dark area i.e. melanin. Melanin is present in the hair follicle and gives the hair its color. Laser treatment works better for dense hair. It works fine for dark skin color but better for light skin. Since it targets the dark area under the skin, darker melanin i.e. darker hair can be removed effectively.

Laser Hair Removal Tips

There are certain precautions that need to be taken during and after hair removal. If the recommended tips are followed carefully, the problems occurring due to hair removal can be reduced:

    * If you are going for a laser hair removal method, inquire about the efficiency of the clinic, doctors and treatment methods from reliable sources.
    * Do not rely on verbal commitments and check the procedure details in the treatment brochure.
    * Carefully check the terms and conditions before signing any papers.
    * Confirm the total cost of the treatment, specially any hidden costs incurred if the treatment has to be changed halfway through.
    * Ask for a skin test on a smaller part of the body.
    * Inquire which kind of treatment will suit your skin type.
    * Inquire the kind of radiations to be used and the type of pain relievers available.
    * Avoid taking the treatment if you are suffering from any skin problems or skin disorders.
    * Avoid tanning treatments or creams at least 1 to 2 months prior to the treatment.
    * If the skin is tanned, then wait till the tan is gone else, the treatment won’t be effective.
    * Avoid hair removal by any temporary methods at least 1 month before going for the laser treatment.
    * Carry out the pre-treatment instructions carefully as specified by the doctor.
    * Do not apply lotions, creams, makeup, perfumes or body sprays before the treatment. This can reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
    * Do not take any medications before the treatment without a doctor’s guidance.
    * If you want to apply any comforting creams or lotions before the treatment begins, consult a doctor.
    * Make your requirements very clear to the person treating you, so that unnecessary areas are not affected.
    * During the treatment, take care to cover the sensitive areas of the body, specially the eyes, as radiations can damage body cells. Wear laser-proof goggles.
    * In case the treatment is causing any discomfort or pain, an anesthesia cream can be applied.
    * Follow the post-treatment instructions carefully. Hydrating cream advised by the doctor should be applied, to keep the skin moist.
    * Apply sunscreen with SPF30, at least half an hour prior to sun exposure.
    * Tanning should be avoided for a month or two after the laser treatment.
    * In case of pain, swelling or any other side-effects, contact a doctor.

Acne Face Wash For Oily Skin

Acne Face Wash For Oily Skin

People with oily skin are more prone to acne than any other type of skin. Oil glands are more commonly known as sebaceous glands. In medical terms, the oil, which is secreted by the sebaceous glands, is known as sebum. These glands secrete oil in the face, neck, chest and others parts of the body.

But the nose is the region which is largely affected as lots of oil is secreted and accumulated here. The pores in this area are larger and the oil then flows to most part of the face. The amount of oil that is produced depends upon individual to individual.

During teenage years, due to increase in the level of sex hormones known as androgens, the sebaceous glands produce more oil because these androgens increase and activate the sebaceous glands. The extra sebum that is produced is the main cause of inflammation and acne.

Even though sebum causes acne and inflammation, when your glands and your whole system is working properly it helps in performing an important part in maintaining and acting as a lubricant for the skin. People with oily skin should take measures to keep the pores from getting blocked and forming acne.

The best way to avoid the perils of oily skin is with the use of face washes and cleansers that remove the excess oil and dirt from the face and keep it hydrated as well. This is a way to clean to excess dirt and dead skin cells which are tough to remove. Once again use warm water to rinse your face.
